ATAIR
New german Science and Research Vessel for oceanography and hydrography under design and contruction by FASSMER shipyard. The hull was built at GERMAN NAVAL YARD Kiel and shipped to FASSMER Berne for final equipment.
The dimension should be 75m x 17m
Delivery is planed for year 2020 to replace the 3o years old predecessor.
Christening was on 30th of Sept. 2019
ATAIR is the first german LNG Diesel Hybrid ship of Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydographie (BSH).
Based on a 130m3 LNG tank the vessel is able to drive 10 days without Diesel fuel.
Main working task is the measurement of the form and depth of the ocean ground in North and BalticSea.
